Weather Notification

Brattleboro and the surrounding areas are under a winter storm warning with the possibility of significant icing over night into tomorrow. Travel will be very dangerous at the height of the storm. Please stay off the roads. A heavy coating of ice can bring down trees and power lines and cause prolonged power outages. Some safety reminders:
Prepare for power outages. Use flashlights, not candles.
Assume all downed wires are energized and stay clear of them.
Check on your neighbors, especially the elderly and others who may need extra help. Do not run generators inside, because of carbon monoxide.
Call 911 if you need assistance or the Brattleboro Fire Department with any questions at 254-4831
