SETTING YOUR VT-ALERT QUIET TIMES

Good afternoon,

Some VT-ALERT users have received unwelcome phone calls in the middle of the night to notify them of non-emergency weather information (Weather Watches or Advisories).

Please be advised that if you have not already done so, it is advisable to set "Quiet Hours" during which you will not receive phone calls for anything but emergencies.

To do this:

Log in to your VT-ALERT account at www.vtalert.gov

Click "Edit" next to "My Subscriptions"

Click the "+" next to "Weather Alerts"

On the right, you will see a box that allows you to check a box and then select quiet hours.

Click "Save" on the bottom of the page
